Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
Lodgy Technologies, LLC, doing business as Lodgy ("Lodgy," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through lod.gy and hosted microsites (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you register as a host, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash; we never store plaintext passwords).
Property and listing information
When you submit a listing URL, we fetch and store publicly available listing details (photos, description, pricing, amenities) from the source platform to build your microsite.
Payment information
Billing and direct-booking payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers; we receive limited transaction metadata (amounts, status, and Stripe-assigned identifiers) needed to operate the Service.
Guest inquiry and booking information
When a visitor to your microsite submits an inquiry or books directly, we collect the information they provide (name, email, message, stay dates, guest count) and pass it to you as the Host. We also collect source context such as IP address, country/region/ city when available, referrer, page URL, browser user agent, and campaign parameters (for example UTM values) so you can better understand where the visitor came from.
Usage and analytics data
We collect microsite page views and booking-intent click events, aggregated into hourly metrics, to give hosts visibility into microsite performance. We also retain the visitor source context attached to those events so hosts can see country, referrer, and campaign information. These events are not tied to a persistent cross-site advertising identifier.
Technical data
We automatically log standard technical data (IP address, browser user agent, timestamps) for security, rate-limiting, abuse prevention, and source attribution.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and operate your microsite and dashboard
- To process direct-booking payments and inquiries via Stripe
- To send transactional email (account verification, booking notifications, billing receipts)
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- To provide analytics on microsite performance to the Host
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only as necessary to operate the Service:
- Stripe - for billing and direct-booking payment processing
- Cloudflare R2 - for storage of property photos
- Email delivery providers - for transactional email (SMTP)
- OpenAI / OpenRouter - listing text is sent to generate microsite copy; guest-submitted personal data is not used for AI model training
- As required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Lodgy, our users, or the public
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
4. Cookies
We use cookies for authentication (session management) and basic analytics. See our Cookie Policy for details and your choices.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and property data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, billing-dispute, or fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls limiting internal access to personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most account information directly in your dashboard, or contact us at support@lod.gy to exercise these rights.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
9. International Users
Lodgy is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
